Crystal-clear glass display and intuitive touch operation

The new, hardened glass display ensures excellent legibility and high durability. Invisible touch sensors replace physical buttons and enable smooth, pleasant operation.

Security architecture with EAL6+ secure chip

An EAL6+ certified secure chip reliably protects your private keys from unauthorised access. Backups are set up in no time using the included microSD card. Optionally, you can display the BIP-39 recovery words and use the BitBar to back them up permanently in steel.

Open-source firmware and optional Whisper BLE

Transparency is central: the firmware is open source. For flexible connectivity, the BitBox02 Nova supports USB‑C and, optionally, Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) via Whisper – a trust-minimised, end-to-end encrypted architecture. Whisper runs on a separate chip with no memory of its own and no access to wallet secrets. Bluetooth can be fully disabled whenever you wish.
