Fix the Money, Fix the World - better incentives start with money

Motif and meaning

Many societal problems seem unrelated at first: short-term economic thinking, waste of resources, growing debt or political misincentives. Yet our monetary system often influences which behaviour pays off.

When new money and cheap credit are easily available, even barely viable projects can be financed for a long time. Capital and resources don't necessarily flow to where they create the greatest long-term benefit.

Scarce money and more honest allocation of resources

Scarce money changes this allocation of resources. Those who don't have to constantly protect their purchasing power from devaluation can decide more patiently. Investments have to be weighed up more carefully and create real, long-term value. This encourages more considered and forward-looking action.

Bitcoin doesn't automatically fix the world. But money with fixed rules can create more honest incentives and thus a better basis for economic and societal decisions.
